Primal Chocolate Crunchy Caramel 85% cacao

About: Primal Chocolate - I want to love them. They don't like milk chocolate and they don't make it. It's dark all the way down to the turtles with these guys, and I don't mind their objection to soy or even gluten. It's organic and vegan and whatever. That's all fine. They make bars and spreads and energy bars and filled cups, like with peanut butter. That's all fine.

But... perhaps it's just that. Just fine.



Flavor:  I found it a bit bitter - with notes of burned toast. It claims to be made with coconut sugar. Not sure what that means. If it's just sucrose, then it doesn't matter where it's from. Perhaps it's not refined that much. I didn't taste the coconut. The flavor isn't that fruity, but it is full, and it is long lasting, and once the bitterness passes, it's pleasant.

Texture:Good and creamy, especially for so much cacao.

My rating: It's a 6. The texture put it over a 5.
