TCHO PureNotes Dark Chocolate Extremely rich and "CHOCOLATEY" Ghana 70% Cacao

This is a full flavored and very slightly bitter chocolate. It is on the sweet side and satisfyingly smooth. There's a lot of chocolaty aroma, so that your senses are filled nicely, but unlike some pur chocolate bars that have complex flavors reminiscent of other flavors: fruits, liquors, etc.. this chocolate is centered on chocolate. The packaging lends a luxurious air, with gold leaf chocolate wrapping and a resealable square outer wrapper. The chocolate itself is thin, adding to the feeling of delicate delicacy.

On the scale of 1-10, scores above 5 meaning 'would get again' and below 5 meaning 'don't bother with this again', I'd give this a solid 8.

L'Amourette Chcolatier 72% Cacao with Pomelo Peel

This is a pleasant chocolate experience. I recommend letting the chocolate melt in your mouth for a few seconds until the aroma fills your sinuses, then biting into the remaining piece to experience the aroma of the pomelo mixing into the chocolate flavor.

The pomelo peel in this chocolate is, as pomelo peel is, satisfyingly bitter, but it's crystalized and thus grainy. If you like to let the chocolate melt on your tongue, you'll be left with a residue of sugared peel. The chocolate itself is full flavored but not completely smooth. It has a fine grainy texture, which I thought was bit disappointing. One good thing: it's not a very sweet bar, so the fine chocolate flavor isn't overwhelmed by sugar.

On the scale of 1-10, scores above 5 meaning 'would get again' and below 5 meaning 'don't bother with this again', I'd give this a high 7.
